Low-growing bursts of vibrant color: Sweet William – Indian Carpet Dwarf Single Mix produces a charming mat of single-flowered blooms in brilliant shades of red, pink, purple, and white. This compact variety is perfect for borders, edging, rock gardens, or containers. It’s moderately easy to grow and brings both visual appeal and light fragrance to smaller spaces, attracting pollinators while requiring minimal care once established.

Direct Sowing: Sow seeds directly in the garden in spring after the danger of frost has passed, or in late summer for blooms the following year. Choose a sunny to partially shaded site with well-draining soil. Sow seeds 1/8 inch deep and lightly cover with soil. Keep moist during the 10–14 day germination period. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, thin to 6 inches apart to allow for proper spacing and airflow.
