Direct Sowing: Sow seeds directly into well-drained, fertile soil once the soil temperature has reached at least 60°F and all danger of frost has passed. Plant seeds 1/4 inch deep, spacing them 18–24 inches apart in rows spaced 36 inches apart. Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during germination, which takes 7–14 days.
