Ideal for garden borders, flower beds, and containers, the flowers are also edible, adding a splash of color to dishes and salads.

Direct Sowing: For direct sowing, plant ‘African – Inca II’ seeds outdoors after the last frost, when soil temperatures are consistently between 65°F and 80°F. Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep, spacing them 10–12 inches apart in well-drained soil. These marigolds prefer full sun and will germinate within 5–10 days. Keep the soil consistently moist during germination but avoid waterlogging. Once established, they are fairly drought-tolerant but perform best with regular watering during dry spells.

Early Sowing for Seedlings: To start indoors, sow seeds 6–8 weeks before the last frost. Plant the seeds 1/4 inch deep in seed trays filled with a quality potting mix.
