Direct Sowing: For direct sowing, plant ‘African – Cracker Jack’ seeds outdoors after the last frost when soil temperatures range between 65°F and 80°F. Sow the seeds 1/4 inch deep, spaced 12–18 inches apart in well-drained soil. These marigolds prefer full sun and require consistent moisture during their early growth stages. Germination typically occurs within 5–10 days. Once established, ‘Cracker Jack’ marigolds are drought-tolerant but will benefit from regular watering during hot, dry periods.
