Stunning and nutrient rich: Amaranth – Red Garnet microgreens are a stunning and nutrient-rich choice for home gardeners and chefs alike. These microgreens are prized for their vibrant magenta-red stems and delicate, earthy flavor, making them a visual and nutritional highlight in any dish. Packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, they’re an excellent way to elevate your meals while growing fresh, sustainable greens in a small space.

How to Grow: To grow Amaranth – Red Garnet microgreens, start by spreading the seeds evenly over a shallow tray filled with a light, well-draining soil medium. Lightly press the seeds into the soil and mist with water to ensure even moisture. Cover the tray with a lid or another tray to create a dark, humid environment for germination. Keep the tray at a temperature between 65–75°F, and mist daily to keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. After 3–5 days, remove the cover to allow the seedlings to grow in indirect sunlight or under grow lights.

Harvesting: Harvest the microgreens when they are 1–2 inches tall, typically 7–14 days after planting. Look for vibrant red stems and tender leaves with a fresh appearance. To harvest, use clean scissors to snip the microgreens just above the soil line. Rinse them gently with cool water and pat dry before adding them to your favorite dishes. Amaranth microgreens are excellent as a garnish, mixed into salads, or layered in sandwiches for a burst of color and flavor.
